Albion College invites applications for two full-time, tenure-track Assistant Professors of Kinesiology. The ideal candidate is broadly trained and is excited about teaching a diverse student body. We are especially interested in candidates who will contribute to a campus climate that supports equity, diversity, and belonging. The teaching load is 3 courses per semester, with preference given to applicants with experience teaching Human & Exercise Physiology Lab courses, Science of Strength and Conditioning, Human Systems Anatomy, and Nutrition. Additionally, the candidate will have the opportunity to teach other classes within the Exercise Science major such as Introduction to Kinesiology, Physical Activity Epidemiology, and develop classes in their own area of interest/research. The successful candidate will also contribute to all-college programs (Honors, First-Year Seminar, and Interdisciplinary programs). The position will begin August 2024.
The person in this position will actively promote diversity, belonging and equity in all of their interactions with others on campus, especially historically marginalized students, faculty, and staff (e.g., first-generation, undocumented and DACA, LGBTQIA , BIPOC).

Qualifications
The candidate must have an earned doctorate in Kinesiology, Biomechanics, Exercise Science, Athletic Training, or a closely related field (doctorate must be completed by August 1, 2024). The successful candidate must have a strong academic background in Exercise Science, evidence of excellence in teaching, an active research agenda that will include undergraduate students, and the ability to advise, mentor, and work with students with diverse backgrounds.
