Position SummaryThe Mailroom Administrator will work in the Houston, TX office, hours are Monday - Friday from 7am - 4pm CST. Receives overall direction from and reports to the Global Admin Services Manager. Maintains contact with Bechtel management, project teams, and organizations regarding mail service needs. Maintains contact with applicable suppliers and vendors on a daily basis.
ResponsibilitiesMaintain the highest levels of customer care.
Backup to Receptionist.
Backup for reprographics.
Coordinate w/legal team on time-sensitive documents.
Shipping & Receiving.
Ordering supplies.
Updating employee lists.
Lift large bundles of mail, overnight packages and shipments of paper.
Handle time-sensitive material like confidential, urgent packages.
Demonstrate flexibility in satisfying customer demands.
Consistently adhere to business procedure guidelines.
Take direction from supervisor.
Participate in cross-training.
Maintain all logs and reporting documentation; attention to detail.
Adhere to all safety procedures.
Perform other tasks as assigned.
Qualifications and SkillsBasic Qualifications
High school diploma or equivalent (GED) - College Degree is a plus.Additional QualificationsCustomer Service/ Hospitality/ Retail background preferred.
Professional appearance and demeanor.
Keyboarding and windows environment PC skills.
Excellent communication skills both verbal and written.
Ability to effectively work individually or in a team environment.
Competency in performing multiple functional tasks.
Ability to meet employer's attendance policy.
A valid drivers license and access to reliable transportation to and from work.
Lifting up to 55 pounds.
