　　Description:

　　Summary: Assists guests in the proper use of pool facilities and equipment. Monitors activities in swimming areas to prevent accidents and to provide a safe and healthy aquatic environment for hotel guests. Maintains cleanliness of pool deck area and provides excellent guest service. Handles any emergencies as appropriate.

　　Essential Functions:

　　Maintains supervision of the pool, ensuring the safety of the pool area

　　Appropriately addresses any issues, concerns, or guest violations with guests

　　Recognizes and responds effectively to all emergencies

　　Enforces all facility rules and regulations

　　Maintains a clean and attractive pool environment

　　Reports any unsafe conditions to the pool manager or lead lifeguard

　　Performs on poolside stage with games and activities for guests

　　Monitors fitness center as needed

　　Performs other duties as assigned

　　Requirements:

　　Qualifications/Requirements:

　　One to three months of related experience or training preferred

　　Excellent guest service skills

　　Ability to communicate effectively in English, both written and verbal

　　Ability to remain calm and make appropriate decisions in emergency situations

　　Ability to effectively communicate in both one on one and group settings

　　Required Work Cards

　　CPR and First-Aid certification

　　Lifeguard certification

　　Physical Requirements

　　Frequently walk, stand or stoop (over 75% of the time)

　　Ability to walk and/or run on slippery surfaces (over 75% of the time)

　　Regularly lift, carry, push, pull or otherwise move objects weighing up to 25 lbs. (50% of the time)

　　Speech, hearing, literacy, and vision (critical)

　　Ability to tolerate moderate noise levels and extreme weather conditions (over 75% of the time)
