Job Functions:
Inspect machinery and workpieces to ensure that they remaincompliant with specifications to reduce any malfunctions andassociated loss of productionEnsure grinding wheels are dressed according to specifications sothat machines remain at peak working capabilityStop any machines upon discovery of a problem and make the requiredadjustments as quickly as possible to minimize downtimeProvide quality control by inspecting workpieces as they come out ofthe equipment and removing any defective piecesOperate machinery, including polishing and grinding equipment, togrind any metal pieces to their prescribed specifications to ensurehigh-quality productsKeep all equipment running by inspecting and performing basicmaintenance, including lubrication and cleaningPerforms other related duties as assigned for the purpose ofensuring the efficient and effective functioning of the work unitand Harlow AerostructuresSkills Required:
Must be able to read work orders, blueprints or drawings todetermine set-up procedure, machine sequence, and dimensions offinal productPossess good math skillsUnderstand complex instructions and how schematics work and makesure items are designed and built correctlyProblem Solving skills to understand why machines are not at peakperformance, how to increase output and how to fix errorsKeen attention to detailMechanical and technical skillsStamina, ability to stand for long periods of timeEducation and Experience Required:
