Job Description
A client in Houston is looking for a Project Manager to join their Infrastructure & Mergers and Acquisitions team. This individual will be will be responsible for planning, organizing, and directing the completion of Infrastructure projects while ensuring these projects are on time, on budget, and within scope. They will be working a hybrid schedule, in the Houston office, they will spend the first month on site everyday as they get acclimated to the ongoing projects and then switch to a two-three days a week on site with flexibility in the days. Day to day responsibilities include:
* Creating long- and short-term plans, including setting targets for milestones and adhering to deadlines. This is a 6month contract with potential to extend beyond 6 months.
* Delegating tasks on the project to resources best positioned to complete them
* Making effective decisions when presented with multiple options for how to progress with the project
* Serving as a point of contact for teams when multiple units are assigned to the same project to ensure team actions remain in synergy
* Communicating with executives or the board to keep the project aligned with their goals
* Performing quality control on the project throughout development to maintain the standards expected
* Adjusting schedules and targets on the project as needs or financing for the project change
Skills and Requirements
10+ Years of Project Management Experience working for a Big4/5 Consulting Firm
Ability to work across corporate functions including Network Teams, Security, Executives and Stakeholders
Strong IT Infrastructure knowledge and experience (Non Software/Application or Data related: Networks --Lan, Wan, Security, Server, Storage as examples)
Experience Working on M&A Projects
Ability to lead meetings and communicate with stakeholders
Experience working in a Waterfall Environment
Experience facilitating workshops on external vendors with executives
Experience tracking, forecasting and staying up to date on budgets as well as creating cost models
Project management experience pertaining to : process flows, documentation, org. change management, forecasting, gathering requirements, cost models null
