Legal Processing Services Analyst The Legal Processing Services Team ensures timely processing of all third-party legal requests, including Garnishments, Levies and Court Orders which direct Comerica to freeze and/or debit customer accounts. Position Competencies: Successful incumbents possess; strong multi-tasking skills, strong prioritization skills, customer service orientation, the ability to maintain composure during stressful situations, the ability to work under pressure and deadlines, and strong organizational and problem-solving skills. Position Responsibilities: * Research and respond to Garnishments, Levies, Restraining Orders, Seizure Warrants and other Court Orders. * Document and secure funds of all customer accounts that are attachable to the order, up to the amount of the judgment. * Save all documentation within the corporate repository (Share Point); legal service, research findings and all subsequent correspondence linked with the case. * Communicate findings with business unit personnel and management when applicable. * Ensure all communications are documented within the Garnishment Database and all subsequent notices are acted upon. * Disclose findings timely to the appropriate parties and court. * Process payment in response to the legal service timely. * Understand the critical nature of the work and the necessity to complete all work received prior to 6:00 PM ET. * Report excessive workload to management for reassignment. * Master all phases of the unit's workflow. * Appropriately escalate high-risk cases for review. * Identify issues which may pose monetary or reputational risk to Comerica and escalate appropriately. * Support other units within LPS when all critical tasks are completed. * Mandatory consecutive 1-week PTO.
