PAY RANGE
The Target Pay Range for this position is $24.90-$30.38 hourly. The full Pay Range is $20.19-$35.96 hourly. At BECU, compensation decisions are determined using factors such as relevant job-related skills, experience, and education or training. Should an offer for employment be made, we will consider individual qualifications. In addition to your salary, compensation incentives are available for the hired applicant. Incentives are performance based and targets vary by role.

Employees have access to disability and AD&D insurance. We also offer health care and dependent care flexible spending accounts, as well as health savings accounts, to eligible employees. Employees are able to enroll in our company’s 401k plan and employer-funded retirement plan. Newly hired employees accrue 6.16 hours of paid time off (PTO) on a per pay period basis based on hours worked (up to a maximum of 160 PTO hours per year) and receive ten paid holidays throughout the calendar year. As a Loss Management Specialist I, you will play a vital role in the recovery of monies owed to the Credit Union, making a significant impact on our financial stability and commitment to our members. Your efforts will help ensure the success and growth of our Credit Union, making a difference in the lives of our members and the community.
WHAT YOU’LL DO:
Compassionate Member Communication : Engage with members in a respectful and empathetic manner, assisting them with their accounts and financial obligations.
Delinquency and Recovery Goals : Take ownership of reaching out to delinquent accounts, using your persuasive communication skills to encourage timely repayments and prevent further losses.
Analytical Support : Review member accounts and identify opportunities to minimize delinquency and potential loss, taking appropriate actions to address the situation.
Information Management : Locate and update member contact information to ensure accurate and current records, supporting effective communication and follow-ups.
Documentation and Record-Keeping : Accurately capture and maintain records of member interactions and payment arrangements, ensuring transparency and accountability.
Flexible Support : Take on additional duties as needed to support the overall goals and operations of the department, contributing to the collective success of the team.
QUALIFICATIONS:
Minimum Qualifications:
Associate degree or equivalent related experience
Minimum one year of experience in collections, financial institution contact center, or retail banking
Proficiency in MS Office and database software
Ability to prioritize tasks and meet deadlines
Excellent verbal and written communication skills
Desired Qualifications:
Detail-oriented with good organizational skills
Ability to work independently and as a team member with discretion and sound judgment
Commitment to maintaining confidentiality and handling sensitive information with care
