  The Logistics Specialist I is responsible for material shipping, receiving and processing according to company policies and procedures. Ensures the orderly stocking and efficient flow of both inbound and outbound materials / products. Maintains and updates the purchase order system as shipments are received, cancelled or back ordered. Manages inventory by developing material schedules, ordering new / replacement materials and ensuring effective coordination with purchasing, production and engineering. Ensures documentation is up-to-date and reflective of material orders, deliveries, storage and distribution.

  What you will do to contribute to the company's successGains familiarity with Logistics concepts, practices and methodologies.With guidance, perform s basic Logistics duties, including:Receiving incoming deliveries,Verifying purchase orders against the Oracle database,Delivering incoming mail and packages,Collecting outgoing mail and packages,Loading and unloading truck deliveries,Shipping packages,Verifying identifying information on bills of lading, invoices, purchase orders and other records.Learns and complies with Logistics practices and policies.Observes all company safety standards and requirements.Assists with special projects as assigned.

  QualificationsHigh school or equivalentProficient with Microsoft OfficeForklift certification preferred.Valid Driver's License

  TravelThis position is responsible for 4 locations/warehouses, so travel will be required.

  Individuals hired into DOT regulated positions must be able to meet and maintain the requirements under the Company's DOT program, including successfully complete and pass a road test examination, driver's record safety review, drug testing, DOT physical, and past employer safety performance history. In accordance with DOT policy, the Company retrieves driving records and randomly tests for illegal substances.
