  Job Description Summary

  In this role, you will manage transportation and related logistics of goods and services to and from internal and/or external customers/suppliers. You will be accountable for the quality of your own work. Will be subject to direct operations supervision/prescribed work instructions/systems checking. Execute within a well-defined operations framework. There is generally a step by step sequence of standard operational tasks which need to be followed to achieve an end result.

  Job Description

  Roles and Responsibilities

  Creation of purchase orders for warehousing and positioning activities.

  Leading country teams in the implementation of warehousing and positioning processes, supported by an outsourced specialist audit company.

  Ensuring consistent accounting procedures and policies for warehousing and positioning costs are implemented in each country.

  Liaising with country and Accounts Payable teams to ensure accurate booking of warehousing and positioning invoices and smooth payment processes.

  Coordinating with country and finance teams to ensure correct allocation of invoices to general ledger accounts.

  Ensuring smooth communication with suppliers, addressing ongoing issues to prevent operational disruptions and implementing risk management strategies.

  Maintaining and upgrading booking and payment processes to meet country regulations and policies.

  Supporting the finance team with accrual data for monthly and quarterly expenses.

  Providing support to the logistics team and suppliers with exceptional purchase order requests and issue resolution.

  Supporting the reporting of Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) related to warehousing and positioning activities.

  Providing day-to-day operational support to suppliers and internal teams.

  Taking responsibility for continuous process improvement in warehousing and positioning activities.

  Required Qualifications and Competencies

  College or Relevant high-level degree or formal qualification on business, finance or supply chain.

  Fluent in English in verbal and written.

  Fully competent using Microsoft Office applications (Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Access, etc.)

  Participated in simplification projects, process improvement projects.

  Well-grounded in financial & IT management

  Experience in freight audit and accounts payable & accounting.

  Knowledge of transportation tariffs and audit processes

  Familiarity with logistics / supply chain processes
