About LOGISTICS MANAGEMENT OFFICER

  Summary This job opportunity is for an LOGISTICS MANAGEMENT OFFICER, position description T5807400, within the 108TH MXG of the New Jersey National Guard. This vacancy announcement is a Title 5, Excepted Service position. The purpose of this position is to plan, schedule, control and direct the use of logistics resources to meet mission requirements. Responsibilities As an LOGISTICS MANAGEMENT OFFICER, GS-0346-12, you will: Manages and administers aircraft logistics activities within Aircraft Generation Division and Maintenance Division (Component Repair Division and Equipment Maintenance Division, if applicable). Supervises and directs the preparation of budget estimates; financial plans; studies of the aircraft logistics organization; manning requirements; facility requirements; mobility or contingency requirements; and publications related to maintenance, methods, policies and procedures. Coordinates logistics activities with supervisors, various base activities, and higher echelons of logistics such as Air Force Depot Weapons Systems Managers, NGB, Major Command Staff, etc. Administers a sound aircraft logistics personnel management program to assure that personnel in staff, supervisory, and technical positions are highly qualified and motivated. Administers a rigid safety and security program within the aircraft logistics organization. Performs other duties as assigned. Requirements Conditions of Employment Areas of Consideration: CAT 5, All permanent, on-board, Title 5 Employees within NJANG organization CAT 6, All permanent, on-board, Title 32 and Title 5 Employees within NJANG organization CAT 7, Current Federal Employees and Applicants eligible for Re-employment including Temp Techs Additional Employment Requirements: Participation in direct deposit is mandatory May be required to successfully complete a probationary period Federal employment suitability as determined by a background investigation Males born after 31 December 1959 must be registered for Selective Service Qualifications General Experience: Must have experience, education, or training in the following: Analyzing within the logistics field Using computer and automation systems Specialized Experience: Must have 36 months experience, education, or training in the following: Identifying activities involving logistical support operations Integrating the actions of a variety of specialized support activities in order to develop a comprehensive logistics plan Monitoring such functions as program planning, resource and fiscal management, training, manpower management, and/or automated data processing to meet the logistics plan Identifying delays or problems and developing corrective actions Working with people from various levels and backgrounds to elicit their cooperation to perform specific tasks, and complying with regulations, laws, or practices Education There are no education requirements for this vacancy announcement Additional Information Security Clearance Must be able to obtain a Secret Clearance within 1(One) Year of appointment.
