Job Overview
The Email Marketing Analyst will help to grow, maintain, and report on our email marketing program. You will be a subject matter expert on email marketing - building comprehensive email programs to drive Pennymac’s business goals. This position is key to providing cross-departmental support, audience segmentation and targeting, building and sending email campaigns, testing and reporting, and supporting email policies and best practices. This is a great opportunity to bring your email systems experience to a growing organization. Experience in mortgage or similar industries a plus, but not required.
A Typical Day
Develop and report on both scheduled and ad-hoc analyses of new and existing campaigns.
Production and execution of all email campaigns, including building emails from templates and HTML, asset coordination, QA and scheduling.
Support various strategic programs via manual and triggered campaigns across the customer lifecycle including new customer acquisition, win-back, nurturing post-purchase, loyalty, retention, surveys, and transactional emails.
Build effective target audiences and segments for every message to drive engagement and revenue performance against KPI goals
Manage and execute against email marketing calendar and ensure alignment with business priorities, demand forecasts, and internal stakeholders. Communicate and coordinate changes to the marketing calendar across departments.
Drive message and content personalization using available customer data such as customer behavior.
Devise and execute A/B tests, manage testing calendar, record results and advise on improvements. Testing includes subject lines, message content, CTAs, customer segments, send time, and new features intended to drive performance lift.
Work in partnership with designers and copywriters to optimize email creative and template structure based on best practices
Mitigate email frequency between program touchpoints to minimize database churn. This includes marketing campaigns, triggered emails, promotional emails, and transactional emails.
Constantly look for new ways to improve overall programs through new technology, tools, partners, trends, and best practices.
Monitor deliverability and list hygiene in order to minimize unsubs, subscriber list health, and any ISP/inbox delivery issues.
Perform render testing across devices, email clients, and ISPs to ensure that emails are rendering correctly.
Provide regular reporting on campaign performance including opens, clicks, conversions, revenue, unsubscribes, etc. Identify low performance and advise on actionable opportunities for improvement
Performs other related duties as required and assigned

What You’ll Bring
2+ years managing an email-marketing program and hands-on experience using ESPs and automation tools such as Salesforce, Bronto, Listrak, Bluecore, Cheetah, etc.
Bachelor’s degree in Marketing or an adjacent field, or equivalent education, training and/or work-related experience.
Fluent in campaign analysis and reporting across all standard marketing KPIs.
Strong critical thinking, prioritization, organization, and project management skills.
Demonstrated ability to build and maintain excellent working relationships with vendors, partners, and internal teams.
A creative eye when it comes to email content including subject lines, preheaders, body copy, CTAs, and content.
Strong project management skills and can take projects from ideation to execution, outlining a project plan and timeline to execute against.
Analytically minded and constant desire to improve KPIs and drive against goals. Familiarity with tools such as Google Analytics, UTM tracking and tagging, ESP dashboards, and other marketing analytics tools.
Self-starter and resourceful, with the ability to find creative solutions to challenges, deal with ambiguity, able to adapt to changes, and move campaigns and projects forward at times with minimal direction.
HTML/CSS knowledge is a plus.
Excellent communication skills with the ability to clearly articulate impact and work cross-functionally across multiple internal teams.
You will thrive in a fast-paced, iterative, metric-driven environment; be comfortable owning revenue targets.
Demonstrated ability to build and maintain excellent working relationships with vendors, partners, and internal teams.
