Logistics Associate 2
KBR is seeking a Logistics Associate 2 to support the United States Space Force's (USSF) Satellite Control Network (SCN) in Colorado Springs. The SCN provides highly reliable and secure data transfer, telemetry, tracking, command, control, and communications (TT&C3) for more than 195 Department of Defense (DoD), National Reconnaissance Office (NRO), civil, and allied satellites.
Duties and Responsibilities:
Coordinates the organization's daily logistical operations, including inventory control, order fulfillment, and distribution. Organizes warehousing for goods. Reviews inventory to ensure that product adjustments are properly applied. Plans and schedules inbound and outbound shipments to internal or external customers based on needs. Acts as liaison between customers, freight carriers and shipping department. Ensures on-time delivery of goods to customers, by investigating and resolving detention issues. Assists is cost control by evaluating shipments, consolidating loads, and selecting most cost-efficient method of shipment within Department of Defense guidelines.
Qualifications and Skills Requirements:
Requires a good working knowledge of Integrated Logistics System - Supply (ILS-S) and Defense Property Accountability System (DPAS).
Monitor and provide supply and logistics support for operations, logistics, and maintenance.
Obtain direct mission support supplies and equipment from off-site vendors.
Implement positive control and accountability of assets not in the supply system to ensure technical and administrative compliance with contract requirements.
Designate points of contact and maintain contact with internal/external support customers.
Provide analysis of supply reports and interface with supply personnel for problem resolution.
Monitor, maintain, control, procure, issue, inventory and safeguard government supplies, equipment, and property accountable at the organizational level.
Account for items via government property records, FAR 45, or through SBSS/ES-S and Item Unique Identification (IUID) procedures.
Apply Military Standard Transportation and Movement Procedures (MILSTAMP), or a suitable alternative, to all shipments moving within the DoD transportation system.
Provide for the Packaging, Handling, Shipping and Transportation (PHS&T) IAW DoD policy.
Maintain and update the baseline tool inventory through the life cycle and track accountability.
Receive, store, issue, inspect, distribute, and dispose of hazardous material and maintain a file of all Safety Data Sheets (SDS) for hazardous materials.
Specialized level: Typically, 5 - 7 years’ experience.
Security Clearance:
Secret (or the ability to obtain a Secret Clearance)
Basic Compensation:
$46,000 - $58,000
The offered rate will be based on the selected candidate’s knowledge, skills, abilities and/or experience and in consideration of internal parity.
Additional Compensation:
KBR may offer bonuses, commissions, or other forms of compensation to certain job titles or levels, per internal policy or contractual designation. Additional compensation may be in the form of sign on bonus, relocation benefits, short term incentives, long term incentives, or discretionary payments for exceptional performance.
