DescriptionLoan Workout Recovery Officer will be responsible for the workout of adversely graded and charged off loans. Will work closely with borrowers to better secure collateral, arrange repayment and minimize risk to the Bank.Location: 717 W Sprague Ave, Spokane, WA 99201Schedule: Monday thru Friday, Dayshift hours. Eligible for a hybrid schedule after initial training.Essential FunctionsReview and restructure credit and repayment terms, obtain additional collateral or otherwise establish recourse to other borrower assets in order to minimize risk to the Bank.Analyze charged off loans and determine the most effective method of maximizing recovery.Negotiate with attorneys, the management of debtor companies, representatives of other creditors, and lending personnel from other companies to secure appropriate repayment arrangements.Establish and monitor adherence to terms of repayment agreements.Provide technical advice and assistance to lending personnel regarding expedient identification and evaluation of deteriorating loan situations in order to recognize problem loans early and minimize losses.Keep informed of the laws, regulations, and rulings governing negotiable instruments, insolvency, and bankruptcy.Understands the loan documentation process and collateral perfection and recognizes when there are deficiencies that require specific recovery action.Perform compliance and risk management duties as required or assigned.Related FunctionsWorks closely with the Special Assets / Loan Recovery Manager to document and communicate findings.Assists in providing selected training to lending personnel and staff.Assists, as requested, lending divisions in improving their credit granting practices.RequirementsCollege degree in Business Finance or Administration.Moderate banking experience including moderate experience in secured loan documentation and / or loan workout and recovery.Strong ability to quickly assess primary and secondary sources of repayment from distressed.Strong negotiating skills.Strong oral and written communication skills.Strong ability to identify material issues and facts and make independent and timely decisions. Able to work at a high level of productivity without close supervision.Strong sense of creativity and initiative, especially toward implementing workout plans which maximize recovery to the Bank.Regular, reliable attendance is require.Compensation:Loan Workout Recovery Officer I: $62,699 - $94,102Loan Workout Recovery Officer II: $71,929 - $107,894Loan Workout Recovery Officer III: $82,432 - $123,701The compensation range represents the low and high end of the base compensation range for this position located in Spokane, WA. Actual compensation will vary and may be above or below the range based on various factors including but not limited to location, experience, and performance.
