  Description

  The Middle Market Banking and Specialized Industries (\"MMBSI\") Finance team, in partnership with business managers, strategy and other finance teams, leads the business and financial analytics for MMBSI and each of its segments and industries. In addition, the team provides analyses that lead to public disclosure associated with the business' strategy, financial performance, and industry trends for the Firm's presentations at Investor Day and industry conferences.

  The Vice President will be an integral member of MMBSI Finance team. The individual will be responsible for running business and financial analytics and reporting for senior members of MMBSI Specialized Industries ("SI"). This role is expected to create, maintain and review financial models and analyses (both recurring and ad-hoc) and conduct \"deep dive\" analyses on key issues impacting client to determine root cause and propose solutions.

  The Specialized Industries ("SI") business focuses on high-growth, disruptive companies at every stage of their life cycle in Tech, E-Commerce, Life Sciences, Healthcare Services and other innovative industries. Given the multiple industries supported and fast-paced environment of SI, the ideal candidate has an ability to deliver consistent and high-quality work while prioritizing and managing multiple work streams simultaneously.

  Key responsibilities:

  The Vice President will be an integral member of MMBSI Finance team:

  Lead the dialogue with senior business leadership as well as stakeholders across the Commercial Bank to provide information on the business trends, financial performance, market strategy, competitive landscape and industry trends

  Help prepare presentation materials and financial analytics for senior management for financial reporting meetings, quarterly business reviews, and budget

  Create, maintain and review financial models and analyses (both recurring and ad-hoc), as well as conduct \"deep dive\" analyses on key issues impacting clients/business to determine root cause and propose solutions

  Development, consolidation and presentation of insightful and robust qualitative and quantitative financial analysis for key internal clients including senior management; participate and support ad-hoc special projects and requests as needed

  Partner with Business Management and Analytics and Reporting teams to develop insightful reporting, focusing on drivers, and the "so what, now what?" dialogue

  The VP will also have exposure to senior management and the opportunity to drive value-add change by helping to simplify processes, accelerate automation, and enhance analytics and business support

  Qualifications:

  BA/BS in Finance, Economics, Accounting and corporate finance with at least 5 to 7 years of experience; Management Consulting, Corporate Finance and/or Accounting experience preferred

  Understands a Bank's balance sheet and P&L

  Experience in corporate financial analytics / understanding of key drivers

  Exceptional analytical, problem solving and project management skills with a proven track record of execution against deliverables; strategic thinker

  Strong technical and analytical skills, including Excel, PowerPoint, Prior Essbase experience preferred

  Organized and detail-oriented with the ability to synthesize large amounts of data, summarize key concepts and articulate appropriately
