We are seeking an Account Specialist to join our growing team Central Operations department in Ponchatoula, LA! This is an entry level, non customer facing role, with Monday-Friday, 8am-5pm schedule. As an Account Specialist within our Centralized Operations department, you will initiate the approvals for accounts approaching the legal process. This role is responsible for ensuring consistency in reviewing and approving of all qualified accounts for litigation before placing with Republic’s attorney network or internal team. Job responsibilities are as follows: Reviews and approves all qualified accounts for litigation before placing with attorney. Communicates with other departments to determine which firm(s) will receive the newly placed legal files. Works with branches to retrieve required documentation for legal placement with attorney firms and Pro Se litigation team. Submits documents to attorney firms and internal teams in order for the litigation to be processed timely. Adheres to policies and procedures, including the Fair Debt Collection Law and all Policy and Procedure. Understands and applies proper method for legal approval and denial. Effectively builds trust with customers and internal staff by embodying and demonstrating the core values of the organization. Requirements High school diploma or equivalent Proficiency with Windows and Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook) Professional demeanor, positive attitude, strong communication and customer relations skills Ability to work well independently Detail-oriented, problem solving and analytical decision making Excellent organization and time management skills Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and manage multiple priorities Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation Must be able to pass drug screening and background check.
