LIONBRIDGE POSITION: LINGUIST

　　Position Summary

　　Role: Linguist

　　Job grade: LI5

　　Reporting to: Language Lead, Project Manager

　　Domain: Information Technology and documentation. Experienced in regional language content writing, translation, copywriting, transcreation and editing tasks.

　　Location: Delhi, Mumbai

　　Language fluency: Read and write at expert level in English and Hindi

　　What You Will Do

　　Analysis, planning and coordination of localization projects.

　　Domain specific localization in content like UI, Help, Marketing, legal/policy, and glossaries.

　　Localize comprehend source content in to local languages without impacting its characteristics and retained its exact meaning without any error.

　　Comply technical aspects of translation quality on computers, automated validation, quality check tools

　　Smart use of online, offline dictionaries, client specific references, latest products, latest technology developments to generate accurate and locally accepted translations.

　　Client interaction on language related issues, post project analysis and documentation.

　　Tracking and reporting quality metrics and taking appropriate corrective measures.

　　Overall responsible for maintaining the desired quality score defined by the client.

　　To Be Successful You Will Have

　　A degree or certification in a language is desirable.

　　Experience of translation and language tools will be an added advantage.

　　Experience in managing various kinds of contents and its localization in to native language.

　　Understanding of language technology concepts and tools - Translation Memories, Computer Assisted Translation.

　　Presence on Social Media Sites, blogging in regional language will be an advantage.

　　Experience in regional language content writing, translation, copywriting, transcreation and editing.

　　Excellent communication skills both verbal and written

　　Ability to work in a multilingual project environment

　　Sound understanding of multi-cultural work environment.

　　Ability to arbitrate the errors with justifications if unnecessary marked by reviewer, having logical, concise, and locally accepted approach in professional tone.
