Position Overview
Lift Truck Operator II
Shaw Industries is looking to hire and train a Lift Truck Operator II who will play an important role in the manufacture and distribution of a variety of flooring solutions for our residential and commercial customers. We are looking for individuals who are motivated, interested in learning various skills, and who enjoy problem solving.
We are currently looking to fill 2nd shift openings. No prior manufacturing experience is necessary. Training is provided for all entry-level roles.

Responsibilities:
To move and transport product to and from inventory locations, while maintaining the quality of the product, without causing harm, danger, or damage.
Receiving a pull task with information on the product to be retrieved.
Transporting a pallet by forklift to and from locations.
Complete paperwork as required.
Wrap and band product prepared on pallets.
Prepare and package miscellaneous items in boxes for shipment.
Tape and repair any damaged packaging.
Attendance is an essential function of the job you must comply with the corporate absenteeism and tardiness policy.
Must adhere to our normal work schedule, i.e. starting and stopping times, and where applicable rotating days.
Must assist in keeping shipping/receiving areas clean.
Must be able to read, write and comprehend shipping documents, bin locations, and store orders.
Must be able to perform simple mathematics (addition, subtraction, multiplication, division).
Will train to operate all Product powered industrial equipment.
Will work with the rebuilding of pallets and in product rework (as required).
Train on breaking down and building of Product pallets.
Must be able to work necessary overtime including weekends.
Must be able to see small numbers and words as displayed on the computer screen.

Qualifications:
Must be able to meet Ergonomic requirements for powered industrial trucks (on and off truck and able to reach all controls, pedals and computer screen)
Must be able to sit on the lift/turret truck for the entire shift.
Must be able to stand on order picker/stand up lift for the entire shift.
Must be able to mount/dismount the lift truck on an average 15 times per hour.
Must be able to work in a warehouse environment that may be hot or cold.
Must be able to bend and lift or maneuver up to 100 lbs., up to 20 times an hour for up to 12 hours.
Ability to reach into the rack and pick the box off of the front stack of boxes, while maintaining both feet on the floor of the turret truck.
Must be able to handle rough backing and latex-based products
Must Be able to perform the duties of an LTO II.
Ability to operate turret trucks (while standing) of heights exceeding 25’ for the entire shift.
Maintain defined productivity rate.
Must be able to read and write numbers.
Must be able to communicate clearly.
Must have general computer knowledge.
Must be able to write legibly.
Must be able to perform simple mathematics.
Must be able to use On Board Computer.

8 Hr non-rotating shift, Hrs fall to in punch day, Observed Calendar, shift starts PM
