　　UPMC's Carlisle Urology has been providing Cumberland and surrounding counties with the highest quality of urologic care for over ten years. Our providers are highly trained professionals who are committed to the diagnosis and treatment of urology related conditions. Both of our providers and staff strive to improve the health and wellness of our patients. Our team is looking to add a Licensed Practical Nurse, LPN. Carlisle Urology is a busy office, with an upbeat and positive working environment. We currently have 1 surgeon and 2 Nurse Practitioners. As an LPN, you will receive detailed on the job training to provide professional nursing care to office patients under the supervision of patient care providers.

　　Hours: Monday-Friday 7:30am-4pm, NO WEEKENDS, NO MAJOR HOLIDAYS

　　Responsibilities:

　　Room patient, assess patient's general condition, take vital signs & weight.

　　Assist physicians with examinations, diagnostic procedures, treatments.

　　Promote wellness by providing patient education materials, communicating physician advice/instructions.

　　Document all activities/interventions, patient/family responses, medication dispensed/prescribed, etc., in the medical record.

　　Administer medications including oral, SQ injection, IM injection and IV drip.

　　Draw blood.

　　Comply with requirements of appropriate regulatory agencies (i.e. OSHA, CLIA, PA Department of Health).

　　Comply with all policies and procedures.

　　Perform IV therapy under direction of Registered Nurse.

　　Graduate of an approved LPN school of nursing.

　　One-year clinical experience preferred.

　　Licensure, Certifications, and Clearances:

　　CPR required based on AHA standards that include both a didactic and skills demonstration component within 30 days of hire

　　Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) OR Basic Life Support (BLS) OR Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation (CPR)

　　Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN)

　　Act 31 Child Abuse Reporting with renewal

　　Act 33 with renewal

　　Act 34 with renewal

　　Act 73 FBI Clearance with renewal
