　　Job Summary

　　The LPN is responsible for assisting the registered nurse in assessing, planning, implementing, and evaluating patient care.

　　The LPN is accountable for all patients assigned to him/her according to established policies and procedures of Avera St. Luke’s and the scope of practice for the licensed practical nurse.

　　Education and/or Experience

　　Post high school completion of accredited licensed practical nurse program.

　　Previous hospital experience, critical care experience preferred. Must possess good communication skills.

　　Licensure/Certification/Registration

　　Current license to practice in the state of South Dakota with expanded role LPN.

　　Previous nursing experience is desirable, but not required.

　　Work Schedule

　　Monday - Friday; 72 hours 2 weeks

　　7:00 am - 7:30 pm, 7:00 pm - 7:30 am

　　Every 3rd weekend/holiday

　　Pay

　　The hourly range for this position is listed below. Actual hourly rate dependent upon experience.

　　$22.50 - $31.25 per hour
