The LPN will work collaboratively with physicians, nurse practitioners, physician assistants and other members of the Health Services team to provide comprehensive clinical care for students' illnesses, injuries, immunizations, and health education needs. Commonly performed clinical duties include obtaining vital signs and patient histories, medication administration and injection, IV insertion/maintenance, and specimen collection.
The LPN's assist the providers with procedures and ensure the autoclave and sterilization procedures are followed. In addition to the clinical duties, laboratory responsibilities include phlebotomy, specimen collection and point-of-care testing. The LPN will be a 12-month position reporting directly to the Assistant Nurse Manager.
