　　Works under the general direction of the Library Director providing library services for all ages, including reference, reader's advisory, programming, community activities, and collection development; supervises staff and the daily operation of the library.

　　Minimum QualificationsA bachelor's degree and 3 years of progressively responsible experience within a public library or related field.

　　Job duties

　　Responsible for supervising branch library and setting goals that align with library objectivesProvide clear communications to staff and supervisorsAssist in the creation of schedules, leave requests and payroll recordsSupervises all aspects of programming and outreach services.Creates and provides programs and activities for all ages.Compiles and maintains monthly statistics for library.Oversees the branch expenditures and reports income.Maintains an awareness of developments in library services.Assists with library collection maintenance.Participates in service programs, publicity, public relations and staff development activities.Maintains knowledge of the job duties of Library Assistants, participating in their work as needed by working the circulation counter and reading shelves.Answers library users' reference questions, in person and on the telephone, using materials in a variety of formats (such as books, periodicals, newspapers, microfilm, indices or electronic media).Provides reader's advisory services for library users.Interprets Belmont County District Library policies and procedures for library users in a customer-responsive manner.Other duties as assigned by the Library Director.Benefits: Dental insurance, Health insurance, Life insurance, Paid time off, Retirement plan, Vision insurance.
