Details about this exciting opportunity:
Full-Time LGBTQ+ advocate opening in our Crime Victim and Advocacy and Support Services program located in White Plains, NY.
Compensation: $50k-$52k/year.

Responsibilities include (but are not limited to):
Provide guidance, direction, advocacy, and support to victims of crime including within the LGBTQ+ community.
Conduct pre-screenings to walk-in clients.
Provide outreach services throughout Westchester County as assigned.
Conduct presentations in the community to promote the program and recruit potential clients.
Provide guidance, direction, advocacy, and support to victims of crime including within the LGBTQ+ community.
Attend meetings and appointments with clients as scheduled.
Accompanying clients to court, medical appointment and hearings with law enforcement.
Work collaboratively with the Office of Victim Services.
If you have the following:
Qualifications:
Bachelor’s Degree.
One-year experience advocating on behalf of victims and experience working in the LGBTQ+ community.
Driver’s License and access to reliable transportation required.
And Attributes:
Prior experience working with victims of crime.
Excellent writing skills, public speaking skills and presentation skills.
Knowledge of the LGBTQ+ community.
Excellent interpersonal and engagement skills
