The Territory Manager works alongside distributor Account Managers to ensure all opportunities for education and product specifications are captured.This role supports the Eastern Washington geographical locations.Duties Include:* Be the product and technical expert on all aspects of Edge specialty products* Build and maintain relationships throughout the sales chain, specifically with retail lumber yards and their customer base; including installers, active builders and architects.* Establish product knowledge sessions with retailers and contractors and participate in various contractor events.* Engage contractors in a professional manner on various social media platforms to discuss working with Edge products* Ensure Dealers participate in Edge promotions and make sure they upload supporting documentation accordingly* Work with dealers to gather sales data for any Edge product programs* Maintain and utilize HubSpot CRM platform for contacts, leads and opportunitiesKnowledge:* Preferred bachelor's degree or equivalent work experience in a related area* Minimum 5 years of experience in building material sales, candidate must have strong dealer relationships (lumber yards)* Working knowledge of Microsoft Office including Excel, Word, Outlook and other software for business applications* Understanding of pre-finished wood products, primer, paint and stain application/techniques.Skills and abilities:* Proficiency in the use of the English language in reading, writing, and speaking* Ability to successfully interact with all organizational levels and the public* Demonstrated proficiency to manage multiple tasks, to set priorities, and to meet deadlines* Demonstrate proficiency in general telephone and office etiquette and legible handwriting* Ability to comprehend and follow written and oral instructions* Demonstrated ability to be mobile in the work environment* Demonstrate ability to develop and maintain strong customer relationships* Ability to apply business and lumber math* Travel requiredBenefits/Pay:Salary Pay Range: $80--$100K + incentive pay; dependent on geographical location and experience.Bonus/Incentive PayMedical insuranceHealth savings account with company contributionDental InsuranceVision insuranceBasic and voluntary life insuranceDisability insurance401(k) plan with company matchPaid vacation and holidaysStock purchase program with employee discountEducational reimbursementWellness programs and challengesOther supplemental benefitsThe Company is an Equal Opportunity Employer.Universal Forest Products and its subsidiaries and affiliates are equal opportunity employers.
