The Senior Learning Designer serves as an instructional design expert and manages the learning design process from initial consultation through solution implementation. The Senior Designer consults with business in the creation of multi-channel learning solutions, curricula and strategies (e-learning, ILT, blended etc.) for the organization. This role is responsible for the analysis, design, development, curation and evaluation of courses and curricula. The learning solutions may cover a variety of subjects/priorities, including but not limited to, on-boarding, leadership and professional development, compliance, service and sales, job/department specific requirements, product and services, and systems. This role will incorporate sound principles of instructional design, adult learning theory and methodologies, as well as organization standards, into every intervention ensuring successful acquisition, retention and transfer of knowledge, skills and abilities. The Senior Designer will be responsible for managing multiple learning projects concurrently and representing Talent Development on business wide project teams.Responsibilities
Executes the ADDIE (or other industry accepted model) model to analyze, design, develop and deliver learning solutions and curricula.Facilitates needs analysis with business partners and stakeholders to define job tasks, desired skills / performance standards and current gaps, target population, success measures for the role, and other requirements as defined by the intake process.Recommends, designs and develops creative learning solutions that include, but are not limited to eLearning, classroom, virtual classes, train-the-trainer, and blended learning solutions.Monitors and evaluates the effectiveness of learning interventions by creating and implementing measures to track outcomes and ensure alignment with business objectives. Reports and communicates findings.Act as performance consultant to the client, providing both learning and non-learning solution recommendations.Partners with 3rd party vendors, as needed, to identify learning solutions and ensure learning modules meet requirements and training objectives.Effectively and successfully manages multiple projects to achieve project goals and meet deadlines.Works collaboratively with corporate, regional and store level stakeholders as well as other team members within HR to achieve project goals.Mentors other Talent Development team members on the instructional design processes and tools.Completes administrative tasks (updating project plans, status reports, maintenance of learning solutions, pulling reports, etc.)Qualifications
