About Lead Trainer - 2nd Shift

  Eaton’s ES AMER ARS PDCAD division is currently seeking a Lead Trainer - 2nd Shift.

  The hourly rate for this position is $19.83 - $23.00 per hour.

  What you’ll do:

  PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITY:

  The Lead Trainer is responsible for scheduling and tracking all training for plant employees. The Trainer will evaluate the effectiveness and growth of new employees and help with the training process. Emphasis will be placed on instilling a culture of teamwork and continuous improvement and fostering that culture beyond the classroom onto the plant floor.

  ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:

  A. Collaborate with supervisors/team leads to ensure a smooth, efficient transition of trainees onto the plant floor with assigned trainers.

  B. Evaluate the effectiveness of new employees with a 30, 60, and 90-day process checks.

  C. Own the tracking, documentation, and process for trainees/trainers.

  D. Collaborate with the training team to develop and deliver approved training courses.

  E. Systematically support trainees to ensure their effectiveness.

  F. Foster the Continuous Improvement Framework (CIF) among trainees and through continuing education.

  G. Collect and analyze data from the annual training needs assessment for plant personnel, with the assistance of the training team.

  H. Will work with the training team to develop and deliver trainings and projects based upon site assessments results.

  I. Assist the Training Supervisor with New Employee Orientation.

  J. Support both front end and manufacturing training needs, through standard/annualized and ad hoc trainings.

  K. Work in a safe manner and perform other duties as assigned within the training function.

  Qualifications:

  Basic Qualifications:

  • High School diploma or GED equivalent from an accredited institution.

  • At least 3 years of manufacturing experience

  • Employee must have strong people skills, leadership, good communication and planning skills, and ability to manage more than one task at a time.

  • Strong computer skills: Office 365 Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook, Access), AS400, DMM, MQ1, eSafety, SharePoint, Enovia

  • Must be legally authorized to work in the United States without company sponsorship.

  • No relocation benefit is offered for this position. Only candidates residing within the immediate area of the Greenwood facility (50-mile radius) will be considered for this position.

  Preferred Qualifications:

  • Associate Degree in related field

  • Experience with data tracking and project management

  • Experience teaching/training both individual and in group settings
