  Wells Fargo Bank N.A. seeks a Lead Software Engineer in Charlotte, NC.

  Job Role and Responsibility: Wells Fargo Bank, N.A. Risk and Fraud management solutions group is looking for a Lead Software Engineer to join an engineering team engaged in building enterprise class web application offering customer centric fraud servicing capabilities; This agile developer will write code and be part of a technical team in enterprise application development using J2EE technologies; Responsible for hands on software development leveraging J2EE technologies in WebSphere and Tomcat based environment interacting with Kafka streaming platform and Couchbase database, Mongo DB along with using SOAP and REST middleware services, JMS MQ APIs, and accessing Oracle DB, DB2 via JDBC; Must have expertise in migration and deployment of application in Pivotal Cloud Foundry; Requires expertise in migration and deployment of applications in Pivotal Cloud Foundry; Act as a key participant in developing standards and companywide best practices for engineering complex and large scale technology solutions for technology engineering disciplines; Hands-on programmer/developer that writes for complex J2EE applications and mentors team in resolving technical impediments; Review and analyze complex, large-scale technology solutions for tactical and strategic business objectives, enterprise technological environment, and technical challenges that require in-depth evaluation of multiple factors, including intangibles or unprecedented technical factors; Make decisions in developing standard and companywide best practices for engineering and technology solutions requiring understanding of industry best practices and new technologies, influencing and leading technology team to meet deliverables and drive new initiatives; Assure quality, security and compliance requirements are met for supported area and supports creation of or updates to and testing of the business continuation plan. Telecommuting is permitted up to 2 days a week. Position must appear in person to the location listed as the work address.

  Travel required: None

  Required Qualifications : Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Information Technology, or related technical field. Position requires 5 years of experience in the job offered or in a related position involving application development and implementation experience.

  Five years of experience with each of the following:

  • Development using Core Java technology

  • Migration and deployment of application in Pivotal Cloud Foundry

  • Configuration and integration of application with Splunk tool

  • Writing and optimizing complex stored procedures and SQL queries on Oracle and DB2 platform

  • Writing J2EE application components that integrates with NoSQL Couchbase database

  • Development and implementation of SOAP and Restful web services

  • Performance tuning of application components running on Tomcat and WebSphere

  • Spring boot and Spring framework technologies

  • Integrating application with Kafka and Kees streaming platform

  • Development using Java Messaging Services APIs and MQ middleware

  • Writing jobs using AWK script

  • Development and integration components using FICO Falcon risk scoring platform

  • Configuration/deployment of application code on Tomcat and WebSphere platforms

  • Build and deploy of J2EE application components using Gradle, Jenkins, uDeploy tools

  • Using GitHub source code repository

  • Managing JIRA board (story writing, sprint planning/execution, backlog refinement, release management)

  • Identifying and resolving security defects in code and conducting of secure code peer reviews with teams

  • Domain knowledge of risk screening and fraud management of Debit and Deposit transactions
