About Lead Shipping

  Our Food Service Packaging plant facility in Plymouth, IN is seeking Shipping Coordinator is responsible to ensure efficient operation of the shipping department by partnering with scheduling, operations, and freight providers to ensure the on-time delivery of product to customers.

  Shift: 1st Shift, M-F, 6 am - 2 pm

  Overtime Offered: Yes

  Pay: $21.53.hr

  How you will impact WestRock:

  Coordinate with 3rd party freight provider to schedule runs in the most cost-effective and time-saving manner possible.

  Attend daily Scheduling Meeting and assist the Plant Schedule in meeting our customers’ requirements.

  Prepare work orders for and coordinate repairs of trucks, trailers, forklifts, dock plates, and dock doors.

  Coordinate with Sales Service the delivery of the customer orders on time.

  Keeping Shipping Supervisor informed of problems or situations that may affect the performance of your department.

  Adheres to daily production schedule. Make recommendations for optimizing the schedule to meet cost, quality, delivery, and service goals. Utilize Computer systems, MS Office tools and AS400 based WMS software to accomplish duties.

  Communicate with necessary supervision to avoid problems between shits changes.

  Develop strong rapport with various freight lines.

  Implement, maintain, and support all company policies and procedures, including union contract safety programs, and good housekeeping.

  Additional duties may be assigned by management.

  What you need to succeed:

  Ability to read, analyze, and interpret written instructions. Ability to present information and respond to questions form groups of management.

  Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals.

  Must be flexible on shift. (8-hours, 10-hours, M-F) on call, overtime, weekend availability

  Prior experience in shipping coordination or related warehousing and distribution required.

  High School Diploma/GED equivalent required.

  Warehouse Experience:1 year (preferred)

  Shipping & Receiving: 1 year (preferred)

  Must successfully pass pre-employment screenings, drug test, and criminal background check.
