　　GENERAL SUMMARY OF THE LEAD, THREADING

　　This position requires the ability to perform set-ups, and produce quality parts on multiple types of threading equipment. The qualified candidate will be able to troubleshoot complex problems, and determine tooling adjustments needed to correct manufacturing problems. This position will also be responsible for overseeing/directing the manufacturing activities within the department. Continuous Improvement of processes and products are an ongoing function of this position.

　　PRINCIPAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

　　Set-up and operate equipment as required.

　　Direct/oversee the activities of co-workers within the dept. to meet customer demands.

　　Perform first piece inspection, monitor the quality of all parts, and make adjustments to maintain quality standards.

　　Perform the duties required to record data for SPC, ISO/QS documentation.

　　Move material by operating forklift or using non-motorized devices.

　　Perform minor machine maintenance such as oil changes and tightening of bolts.

　　Assist and train other operators as needed.

　　Suggest process improvement ideas.

　　EDUCATION, KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS & ABILITIES REQUIRED

　　Ability to use all gages and gaging techniques required.

　　Thorough understanding of SPC.

　　Basic computer knowledge.

　　Knowledge in ISO/QS requirements.

　　Ability to set-up and operate one or more sizes/types of threading equipment.

　　Ability to consistently meet production and quality standards

　　Ability to demonstrate the knowledge and understanding of all required operator documentation.

　　Excellent teamwork skills.

　　Ability to identify complex problem causation and correct problems.

　　Use math skills for blue print reading, gaging and SPC.

　　Possess the ability to assist lesser-skilled employees.

　　Demonstrate the understanding of the manufacturing process and machine requirements to perform basic and repetitive work assignments.

　　Provide written communication as needed.

　　Required Hs Diploma/GED OR Relevant experience.

　　Fluent in English (both strong verbal and written communication skills).

　　2nd shift Monday – Friday 3 p.m. – 11 p.m. + OT
