These projects will include high complexity, multi-media, multi-contaminant remediations. The Lead Remediation Engineer will also be responsible for the training of junior technical staff. The customer experience is paramount, and the Lead Remediation Engineer will be responsible for responding to client inquiries in a timely and effective manner as well as for developing business with existing client base, referral agents and centers of influence.Job Responsibilities* The Lead Remediation Engineer will work predominantly in an office setting performing project administration, budgeting and reporting activities. Field oversight of phases of more complex investigation and remediation activities is expected.* Will work collaboratively with a Project Manager and Senior Project Manager during the design and implementation of remedial projects.* Possesses strong technical capabilities and may demonstrate a unique technical proficiency.* Authors and reviews technical reports.* Trains staff.* Will develop and maintain client relationships with the goal of being a trusted advisorRequired Qualifications* 4-year college degree in engineering and 10+ years of environmental consulting experience in the Pacific Northwest; a master's degree in one of the above listed fields is a plus* Well versed in the Washington Department of Ecology's Regulatory Programs for Site Remediation including through the Toxics Cleanup Program (TCP), Model Toxics Control Act (MTCA) Cleanup Regulations, Sediment Management Standards, Leaking Underground Storage Tank (LUST) cleanup program including Pollution Liability Insurance Agency's (PLIA) program, and the Voluntary Cleanup Program* Experience with management of solid, hazardous, and nuclear waste along with waste reduction and pollution prevention experience are highly desirable. Experience working with Washington industrial facilities to obtain the necessary permits for regulated activities and to report on those activities to the Department of Ecology are also desired.* Experienced with due diligence requirements and commercial and industrial property transactional requirements* Self-starter with strong organizational skills and attention to detail* Strong verbal and written communication skills* Proficiency in Microsoft Office, specifically Word and Excel* Flexible to work outside of normal business hours as required* Professional licenses are desirable (e.g. Licensed Site Remediation Professional, Professional Engineer, Professional Geologist)* 40-hr OSHA training* Valid driver's license and good driving recordPhysical And Mental Job Qualifications* Ability to travel asTo view the full job description,
