Experienced CMM OperatorLocation: KENT, WA, United StatesJob Family: ManufacturingJob Type: RegularPosted: Dec 14, 2023Job ID: 45141Job DescriptionCMM Operator 2Program and operate more complex Coordinate Measuring Machines (CMM's) using required standards and documentation.Functions and Responsibilities* Utilize CMM for the inspection of parts or assembly/inspection tooling.* Generate and maintain all CMM inspection programs for repetitive inspections.* Document inspection findings.* Inspect assembly/inspection tool use requirements with Quality Engineering as well as inspect tools to the part drawing.* Detect faulty processes and provide input for their resolution.* Check required dimensions using calipers, micrometers, height gages and other inspection devices.* Interpret and follow written instructions, sketches, schedules, drawings, documents, models and IGES files.* Perform all work in accordance with established standards and safety procedures.* Ensure proper documentation is entered on manufacturing planning and paperless (including correct quantities) timecard system.* Train others on prior job experience.* Work under limited oversight.* Must understand CMM functions including capabilities and limitations.* Must understand geometric dimensioning and tolerancing in addition to the form, fit and function of tools.* Able to compare and verify part models/drawings with tools.* Thoroughly understands complex detail and assembly drawings. Knowledge of CAD, shop math, trigonometry and precision instruments required.* Demonstrate strong layout inspection capabilities with strong mathematical and three dimensional visualization skills.Working ConditionsDemonstrate proper and safe operation of equipment, and personal protective equipment including, but not limited to, safety glasses/full face shield, hearing protection, and gloves as required.Physical RequirementsPerforms physical activities that require considerable use of arms and legs and frequent movement of the whole body, such as climbing, lifting up to 50 pounds, balancing and handling of material.We offer a comprehensive and competitive total compensation package.
