The Chief of Staff position will be based in Columbus, Ohio and support multiple technology teams in Corporate Oversight and Governance (COG) Technology, part of CT. The COG teams are responsible for technology functions including Audit, Legal, Data Platform services, and central AI/ML development and includes the execution of Global Technology's multi-year roadmap to build scalable infrastructure supporting business initiatives, as well as positioning the firm effectively for responding to the external regulatory environment.
As Chief of Staff you will focus on activities related to strategic business planning and functional business management. Core activities include strategic planning and measuring performance and execution against strategic goals, including all aspect of business operations, managing the budget, communications, and workforce management to support and enhance the organization to meet their strategic and operational goals and ensure efficient day-to-day operations.

Primary Responsibilities:
Collaborate with your org tower leads, Business Stakeholders and Finance and Business Management in the management of technology spend, monthly finance & business reviews, revised forecasts and the budgets. Ensure alignment of spend to budget plan. Lead the annual budget planning and monthly business review process.
Actively participate in CoS leadership meetings and act as a thought leader to optimize the strategy, focus, alignment, and accountability for your organization.
Lead discussion on topics relevant to the team and participates in cross-group initiatives as needed.
Ensure an effective resource strategy for the organization, including skills, types of roles, physical location strategy and variable resource use. Partner with HR to coordinate and facilitate talent reviews, succession planning, as well as year-end calibration. Support Technology lead on performance reviews, promotion and compensation process as needed.
Develop and manage tower internal communication strategy, including leadership messages, forums, and planning annual meetings. As necessary, leads or supports major change initiatives within the org.
Support tower level Controls & Audit Function working closely with CT leadership and technology teams. Drive proactive identification, prioritization and timely mitigation of technology risks, controls and audit validations. Partner with Enterprise Technology teams, including CTC, to continuously improve the controls environment.
Prepare various management reports to support business operations and decision making
Partner with our Finance and Business Management team to perform financial analysis and metrics reporting to uncover areas for improvement.
Establish control points to maintain timely oversight into our vendor management engagements that maximize JPM assets.
Establish processes that establish regular reporting cadence on critical org level objectives.
Provide senior management with advice and guidance on strategic decision making.
Build trust and rapport through all interactions to deliver the right outcomes for the business.
Present on a regular basis to senior executives and stakeholders on technology and organizational initiatives.
Required Skills and Qualifications
10+ years of experience in relevant technology experiences for enterprise customers in the area of public / private cloud services, managing associated risks, technology controls, policies and budgets
Have a bias for action and sound instincts on how to resolve issues effectively. Be inquisitive and determined to solve problems and identify solutions
Demonstrated understanding of appropriate engineering technologies, vendor / partner products / services and competitor's offerings
Proven leadership and partnership skills with proven ability to effect change within a large matrixed organization
Technological driven mindset, digitally savvy and up to date with latest market and industry analytical and digital emerging trends
This role requires a variety of strengths and capabilities, including:
BS/BA degree or equivalent experience
