Youll be a great fit for this position if:Youre willing to work closely with the Detailing Manager in the coordination of listed and detailed projects by entering orders, producing bar-lists so that material is delivered to the job site in a timely manner, assisting customers in resolving problems, issuing change orders and entering data into Harris Rebars business system.
BASIC FUNCTIONS You prioritize safety in everything you do. You conduct yourself consistently with Nucors key vision and values to work safe, be customer focused, treat people with respect, act courageously to do the right thing and act honestly and with integrity. Produce bar-lists and import orders into Harris Rebars business system. Ensure proper coding of all bar lists. Develop a working knowledge of CRSI Manual of Standard Practice, reinforced concrete construction and other industry practices. Review and verify date of contract documents (plans, addenda and specs) received and compare against the date on proposal/estimate. Process change orders to maximize all possible returns for the Branch. Communicate with customer, placer and architect/engineer on all questions relating to project; submit RFIs (Request For Information) as required. Assist Manager in the review of listed projects, help resolve discrepancies, enter bar-lists and coordinate the fields requirement for delivery of material. Under the direction of management, be involved in all construction conflicts/disputes (whether contractor, placer, detailer or shop), and help with a resolution that is a time and cost effective solution. Compare the progression of project detailed weight against contract weight. Identify and develop information required to inform customer of any changes (time and/or material) to the contract, including the completion of the change order form. Review all claims of shortages or errors. Perform other duties as required by your supervisor.

Minimum Qualifications:
Legally authorized to work in the United States without company sponsorship now or in the future.
Ability to read architectural/engineering blueprints
High School Diploma or equivalent

Using hands to operate objects, tools, computers and other electronic equipment
Lifting/handling computers and related equipment

Preferred Qualifications:
Two year technical degree from an accredited school or college
Construction and concrete related construction knowledge and experience particularly helpful
Basic knowledge of construction or civil technology
Demonstrated experience in installation/placing reinforcing steel
Demonstrated experience in fabrication of reinforcing steel
