The Lead Project Manager (Scrum Master) position is primarily responsible for managing initiatives across Asia Pacific as well International Regions. The role focuses on delivering high quality products and services which creates exceptional value to GBT clients with an unparalleled customer experience.
The incumbent must have: extensive experience across project management disciplines (Agile is a must) with a proven ability to manage multiple and concurrent initiatives at the same time. The incumbent will lead and work with many project teams across different geographies and time zones, must have excellent communication skills (both written and oral) with the ability to present with fluency to stakeholders at different senior levels.
Reports to: Director Global Business Travel Technologies – Asia Pacific
Location: India.
What You’ll do on a Typical Day:
Lead and drive project initiation phases by ensuring defined outcomes, deliverables and objective tie back to company strategic goals.
Preparation, submission and monitoring of regional portfolio; financial and resource management plans.
Ensure all projects successfully undergo mandatory control and compliance reviews - including appropriate documentations being in place and as well as sign offs from relevant internal authority bodies (Security, Architecture, Risk, Compliance ….. etc.) Accurate and precise execution of project milestones and sprints as per agreed timelines and defined scope.
Devise and define Risk Management Plans in accordance with overall portfolio/project profiles. Ensure all project monitoring and controlling mechanisms are in place for tracking progress against agreed objectives and timelines.
Ability to maneuver in a fast and succinct way to drive positive outcomes in dealing with unplanned and difficult project situations/scenarios.
Devise Portfolio/Project reporting (weekly and monthly) including Steering Committee presentation updates).
Conduct formal project closures and post implementation reviews.
Must be a team player with the ability to collaborate and work with geographically disbursed teams across multiple time zones.
Act as a strategic influencer and a trusted advisor to internal business partners, technology leadership, vendors and suppliers.
What We’re looking for:
Minimum 5-7 years’ experience in a senior project management role in a global organization.
Project Management Certification (Scrum Master is essential)
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
Strong collaboration skills with proven ability to work across functional and geographically disbursed teams
Proven ability in working autonomously with minimal supervision
Proven ability to simultaneously support multiple priorities and deliverables
Excellent communication skills (both written and oral).
Ability to translate functional requirements into technical specifications
Fluent in using Microsoft Project, Visio and PowerPoint
Flexible in working hours (includes outside business hours) to partner with global teams as well as to deploy production releases.
Familiar with collaboration tools (i.e. JIRA, Confluence, etc.)
Knowledge of Microsoft Azure an advantage Experience in managing systems integration projects and familiarity with APIs is desirable
