Position Summary
Coordinates the day-to-day activities, often of a very confidential and sensitive nature, of the Workforce Relations and Employee Relations organization. Performs a wide variety of labor relations services, including coordination of labor salary increases, educates multiple tiers of management on labor relations processes, point of contact for grievances, arbitrations, HR requests for bargaining employees and assists legal counsel and executives on matters requested. Responsible to coordinate all National Labor Relations Board/Unfair Labor Practice charges. This position also requires extensive researching skills for various business unit and union requests for information.
Essential Responsibilities
Reporting/Data: Support and Workforce Relations and EEO by gathering and analyzing data. Administers the data collection for a variety of reporting requirements, including speeding reports, regulatory requirements, assignment of investigations and grievances, labor grievances, arbitrations, and other legal discovery. Accountable for the timely completion of reports regarding grievances, arbitrations, disciplines, investigations, performance measurements, budget performance, etc. Identifies computer applications to perform required duties in the most effective manner such as statistical reports, tracking systems, presentations.
Administrative: Develops and monitors department operating budgets. Design and manage office procedures, including digitization, plans and coordinates department meetings and activities. Evaluate and revise procedures as necessary to improve office efficiency. Schedules meetings with executives and union agents as needed.
Communications: Prepares correspondence and other communications.
Union Relationship Support: Works with stakeholders on union negotiations. Single point of contact for the union to the company for all grievances, arbitrations, etc. Monitors and prepares various labor reporting requirements, including seniority lists and annual wage adjustments for bargaining unit employees.
Projects: Handles special projects, prepares reports and presentations as needed.
Minimum Requirements
Associate degree, Administrative Professional/Secretarial Certification or equivalent.
5 years of related experience.
Broad knowledge of department operations and policies or ability to learn quickly.
Strong relationship management skills and ability to be a team player.
Proficient in the use of computer applications including word processing, spreadsheet, presentation, graphic and database applications.
Ability to maintain confidentiality and appropriately handle sensitive and highly confidential materials.

The anticipated starting base pay for this position is: $23.70 to $33.10 per hour
