About Lead Production Line Specialist

  Provides work direction for assembly team members in a production environment, with a focus on process improvement and attainment of quality and production timelines and goals. Job Responsibilities: Manage inventory levels and production schedules; monitor product and raw materials inventory and deliver product to the production staff to meet production schedule time frames. Monitor and coordinate the flow of materials and parts between departments in order to meet schedule commitments and maintain inventory accuracy Coordinate with quality control to provide peripheral components to complete order packaging into Finished Goods Verify and label incoming inventory and raw materials to maintain inventory accuracy requirements and satisfy cycle count requirements. Order required supplies. Perform visual and electrical inspections of products to assure fitness for use and product specifications are met prior to shipping. Recommends corrective action if required. Assists and trains work group members on reading blueprints, schematics, work orders and other instructions. Provides guidance on proper technique, tooling and safety guidelines. Monitors and reports progress to management. Collaborates with other functions to resolve assembly issues and ensure consistency Coordinate with Production Supervisor to create a product paint schedule. Create and monitor paint and quality reports (Resale) May be required to silk screen required information, such as numbers or logos, onto products Additional duties as assigned. Skills, Knowledge, Abilities: Solid leadership, communication and interpersonal skills Strong organizational skills with the ability to prioritize and multi-task Familiarity with technical products and components; working knowledge of blueprints and schematics Basic computer and mathematical skills Ability to differentiate between colors Knowledge of inventory practices and procedures Knowledge of quality and industrial standards and procedures Ability to work overtime as needed Qualifications: High school diploma or equivalent education and work experience 3-5 years of relevant experience in similar role Pad and silk screen experience (Resale) Supervisory Responsibility: This position acts as a team lead, but has no direct reports Physical Environment/Working Conditions: Production environment, may have minimal exposure to chemicals Lifting up to 25 pounds on a frequent basis and 50 pounds on an infrequent basis; finger and hand dexterity in both hands; standing; bending; and sitting on a frequent basis.
