What you will be doing?
The Lead Therapist has demonstrated consistent and reliable competency in the role of Primary Therapist, often exceeding expectations for the role. While continuing to skillfully maintain a caseload, run groups, and complete assessments as assigned, they simultaneously operate as a leader on the clinical team. The Lead Therapist works closely with the Clinical Director to ensure programmatic compliance.
What tasks are required?
Serve as a leader providing support, guidance, and direction to clinical team members.Serve as the clinical team leader in the absence of the Clinical Director.Help train and orient new clinical staff team members and maintain ongoing awareness of each staff members’ strengths and weaknesses.Suggest trainings that may benefit the development of the team for leadership consideration.Facilitate trainings , when appropriate , as requested .Facilitate clinical meetings, as requested .Audit charts and therapist performance, as indicated .Participate in the review of clinical issues and clinical policies and procedures.Maintain professional licensure in good-standing .Facilitate individual, group, and family therapy sessions.Asses s clients using standardized or evidence-based assessment tools and diagn ose clients based on DSM-5 criteria.Complete biopsychosocial assessmen t s in a timely manner , as assigned.Collabora te with client s to develop client-centered, recovery-oriented treatment plan s that include goals and measurable objectives . Update and revise as indicated .Provid e substance abuse treatment services specified in client treatment plan s.Demonstrate knowledge of the six dimensions of ASAM and produce clinical documentation reflecting client functioning in each of the dimensions as indicated .Collaborate with Case Management on discharge/transfer plans to ensure smooth transition to the appropriate levels of care.As requested by Case Management, contact referral sources to provide case consultation and collaboration.Particip ate actively and meaningfully in multidisciplinary team meetings .+
