Summary You will serve as a Lead Inventory Management Specialist in the Supply Branch, PWD South Potomac (Dahlgren, VA) Production Division. Responsibilities You will extract information from databases to respond to questions and provide inventory status. You will advise on ways to improve the efficiency of distribution and storage operations. You will develop functional guidance for systems revisions and special automation projects specific to inventory management and related systems. You will collaborate with supply sources to obtain status on supply transactions. You will advise on alternative approaches for shipment of materials or components to solve customer issues. Requirements Conditions of Employment Qualifications Your resume must demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience at or equivalent to the GS-09 grade level or pay band in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector performing the following duties: 1) Possesses experience in inventory management, including ordering and managing materials or supplies. 2) Leads a successful team that manages the local inventory and improving processes and procedures using the supply chain management; 3) Manages physical inventories; and 4) Identifies issues in processes and makes recommendations in inventory management and processes.
