Job Description Summary

　　This role is responsible for operating in lock-step with the BWRX-300 I&C, Software, and Cyber Security teams to design and develop the BWRX-300 Plant Controls Architecture. You will work with the team to access, design, and implement control systems within the BWRX-300 Standard Plant Design.

　　The required work location for this role is at the GEH Headquarters Wilmington, NC (relocation assistance provided)

　　Essential Responsibilities:

　　Identify, develop, evaluate, introduce, and manage engineering solutions for product control and control system technology needs.

　　Apply control theory and mathematical modeling to design and control systems with desired behaviors. Includes operability, setting of boundaries, cycle optimization, control logic, control related software, sensors, hardware and software algorithms, and feedback to control the performance of devices, subsystems and systems.

　　Assess and select controls platforms and tools for the application.

　　Configure, test, and deploy control hardware and software solutions.

　　Interface with proprietary controls solutions via standard protocols.

　　Has knowledge of best practices and how own area integrates with others; is aware of the competition and the factors that differentiate them in the market

　　Uses some judgment and has some ability to propose different solutions outside of set parameters to address more complicated manufacturing processes with technical variety and/or interdependent production cycles. Uses technical experience and analytical thinking. Uses multiple internal and limited external sources outside of own teams to arrive at decisions.

　　Acts as a resource for colleagues with less experience.

　　May lead small projects with low risks and resource requirements.

　　Basic Qualifications

　　Bachelor's degree in a “STEM” Major (Science, Technology, Engineering and Math) from an accredited university or college

　　Minimum of 5 years of Controls Engineering experience

　　Experience with Cyber Security and application to the controls network.

　　Experience with Nuclear Safety Control Systems.

　　Understanding of SIL3 rated platforms.

　　Experience with the Real Time Operating Systems.

　　Understanding of PLCs, Ladder Logic, Function Block Diagrams

　　Strong analysis and problem-solving skills.

　　Ability to interact at all levels of the organization and with customers.

　　Proactively identifies and removes project obstacles or barriers.

　　The salary range for this position is $94-130k. The specific salary offered to a candidate may be influenced by a variety of factors including the candidate’s experience, their education, and the work location. In addition, this position is eligible for a performance bonus.
