JOB DESCRIPTION: Lead Estimator/Project ManagerUse knowledge to estimate, research and put together quotes to create bidproposals for clients.Participate in a team environment where all team members develop and maintaina collaborativeand respectful working relationship, and consistently provide qualityservice for our customers.Responsible for building client relations, take off, request quoteproposals from vendors andsubcontractors, and creating an accurate bid proposal to present topotential clients andoverseeing and leading projects from ideation through to completion. Establishtrust and impartknowledge to prospective clients for products and services; Estimateearthwork projects (utilitieswhen needed) including take-off, material pricing, labor, andequipment productivity; Submitstimely and competitive bids; Update Pro-Est assemblies & create newones as required includingmaterial pricing & productivity; Maintains customer contact untilestimate is signed to explainissues or answer questions; Foresee potential problems or risk and aids teamto avoid or resolveproblems before they impact projects; Work with all other departments toensure that estimatesare clear and priced properly; Attend weekly sales meetings and goals;Complete Take-Off's andJob costings; Update estimating schedule with all the information to includeGo/No Go Report;Review projects with Division Manager and General Superintendent; Assistwith Civil andStructural plan updates from the field; Review Estimating Departments changeorders prior tosending out; Review and price lot specific changes and coordinate withconstruction/trades/sales;Establish, Qualify, and Maintain vendor contact list and inform Estimatingdepartment aboutnew vendors and payment statuses; Flexibility and willingness to assume newduties/responsibilities as necessary to respond to fluctuating work hoursdriven by project/production needs; Coordinate and track department jobsand projects, includingmaintaining records and documents through use of Microsoft Office programsi.e. Word, Excel,Smartsheet, etc.; Coordinate warranty work, including contactingowners, creating work orders,ordering required materials and routing/transmitting signed work orders;Perform fieldmeasurements for customers of various degrees of construction needs. Candevelop drawings,sketches, and plans to support estimate of these of various consumers withvaried budgets;Ability to travel to job sites as required for meetings and team oversight;40 Min Hours PerWeek; Work with Division Manager to establish Yearly Budgets; Assist withduties assigned bythe Division Manager ins his absence; Supervisor for estimating personnel inthe India office;Travel to and from job sites for meetings with Owners/Developers/GC andField Teams. Must beprepared to travel to jobs as frequently as required to oversee jobs andProject Manager. Project5% a week for travel, and .1% Yearly; Process and track Submittals,Change orders and RFI's;Develop, track, and maintain Budget v/s Cost analysis report for costsavings; Track and submitmonthly billings for worked performed; Develop Material Procurement plan andscheduledeliveries to jobsites as needed; Review Subcontracts.
Hours/Wk: 40, M-F; Annual salary range between Seventy-sevenThousand, Five Hundred dollars, and Ninety-five Thousand dollars,(1) Week of Paid Vacation,Paid Holidays, Paid Sick Leave, Optional Health- Care Program, andVarious Team Building Outings
MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS:Bachelor's degree in Construction Management, Construction, Civil, orStructural Engineering.At least 4 years of cumulative work experience in Construction Management,Construction, Civil, or Structural Engineering. Employment experience mustinclude cumulative workexperience in Blueprint Reading; Fluent in Microsoft Office; Take Offswith Bluebeam, Pro Estor Similar; Estimatin with Bluebeam, Pro Est or Similar; Excellentability to read blueprints andengineering drawings, interpret conditions, and analyze field conditionsto ensure pricingconsistent with risk encountered and profit opportunity offered; AdvancedKnowledge ofindustry standards and construction; Ability to work well under tightdeadlines, solve practicalproblems and interpret a variety of instructions in written, oral,diagram, or schedule format.Travel to and from job sites for meetings with Owners/Developers/GC andField Teams. Must beprepared to travel to jobs as frequently as required to oversee jobs andProject Manager. Project5% a week for travel, and .1% Yearly.
