　　The ancestors of the Sycuan Band of the Kumeyaay Nation existed many centuries ago as a community of people…a Tribe living together, farming, hunting and fishing to survive.

　　Job Purpose:

　　Provides exceptional gust service while supporting Theater events, promotional giveaways, community outreach and co-op sponsorships.

　　Job Duties and Responsibilities:

　　(Note: Duties and responsibilities may be added, deleted, or changed at the sole discretion of Sycuan Management at any time)

　　Provides support to promotions, special events and entertainment within gaming guidelines and departmental policies and procedures by verifying current government issued ID with every transaction to include: scanning and collecting theater tickets, swiping Club Sycuan cards for promotional entries into associated drawings, printing and issuing redemption vouchers.

　　Provides administrative support to the department by documenting and forwarding reports, complaints, suggestions and recommendations to the Box Office Supervisor, assisting with the coordination of Casino promotions, trade shows, and sponsored events.

　　Maintains cash bank of theatre transactions during shift by entering cash transactions into the Point-of-Sale system, counting currency, logging guest discounts, vouchers, and credit cards in the Cashier Drop worksheet, balancing the money drawer against generated cashier report following established procedures, and reporting discrepancies to the Box Office Supervisor.

　　Provide friendly guest service while promoting entertainment options and assisting guests with purchase decisions.

　　Maintain a thorough understanding of show schedule, production details, and ticketing prices.

　　Maintain a clean and safe Box Office environment at all times.

　　Assists with venue logistics before and after events.

　　Assist with incoming and outgoing guest calls.

　　Promote Club Sycuan membership to guests, conducts membership card reprints, and creates new accounts with thorough knowledge of guidelines and benefits.

　　Collect complete and accurate data from guests while processing transactions.

　　Distribute promotional merchandise as directed.

　　Job Specifications:

　　Education and Experience:

　　Essential:

　　High School Diploma, High School Certificate of Completion, or G.E.D.

　　Guest Service Experience

　　Ticket sales and/or box office experience

　　Cash handling experience

　　Desirable:

　　Hospitality experience

　　Skills and Knowledge:

　　Essential:

　　Ability to remain energetic, outgoing and get along with a variety of personalities

　　Ability to recognize counterfeit monies

　　Ability to perform simple mathematical calculations

　　Ability to effectively communicate, maintain professional and positive composure with guests and team members

　　Ability to abide by polished and professional grooming standards

　　Ability to communicate effectively in the English language

　　Ability to complete forms and documents and written reports

　　Working knowledge of Microsoft and Excel

　　Working knowledge of basic email and telephone procedures

　　Ability to evaluate problems encountered on the job and make sound judgments

　　Ability to sit, stand and walk for up to eight hours at a time

　　Ability to lift up to 20 pounds

　　Ability to understand and follow verbal directives and written directions
