Description:
SUMMARY: This position works directly with all phases of Injection molding including startup, operation and maintenance of machines, automated conveying systems, auxiliary equipment, air compressors, liquid chillers, and robotic parts removal
•Safely troubleshoot, upgrade, install and repair all mechanical, electrical, electronic, hydraulic and pneumatic systems on injection molding, auxillary and ancillary machines as needed•Safely and accurately operate, maintain, troubleshoot, and repair automations and robots•Accurately program robots and PLC’s•Perform preventative maintenance on automation and robots as needed•Perform maintenance and repairs of plumbing, mechanical and/or electrical equipment•Inspect and test machinery and equipment to detect causes of malfunctions•Dismantle machinery and equipment to gain access to access and to perform diagnoses and repair•Remove and replace worn and defective parts•Repair hoses, wiring, valves, etc and reassemble and verify proper function•Read, draw, and update blueprints, schematics, and technical manuals as needed•Perform all preventative maintenance of molding and auxillary equipment•Fabricate parts to maintain or improve the function of equipment as needed•Evaluate and suggest ways to eliminate recurring problems•Clean and change molds as needed•Assists in equipment installations, project preparations, and project completion•Maintains a clean work area and follows proper safety procedures•Arrives at work on time and complies with company attendance and tardiness policies•Possess ability to get along with co-workers, customers, and company visitors•Performs other duties assigned by Supervisor•The employee is occasionally required to sit, but will be on their feet during 90% of the workday•While performing the duties of this job, the employee regularly works near moving mechanical parts

•Reasonable accommodations may be made to enable individuals with disabilities to perform the essential functions•Two to five years relevant work experience; preferably in plastic injection molding•LANGUAGE SKILLS: Ability to read and understand complex instructions such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions and procedure manuals•Ability to write routine reports and correspondence•MATHEMATICAL SKILLS: Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure using whole numbers, fractions, and decimals•Ability to compute rates, ratios, and percentages•REASONING ABILITY: Ability to carry out detailed, complex oral or written instructions•Ability to apply problem solving techniques to address complex issues•Understand machine functions and troubleshoot effectively•Must have excellent mechanical skills•Attention to detail and organized approach to work are essential•Working knowledge of mechanical, electrical, electronic and hydraulic systems on injection molding machines•Must possess and demonstrate a positive attitude and professional demeanor•Must work in a cooperative manner and possess the ability to communicate instructions in a clear and professional manner•Ability to successfully complete tasks with minimal supervision•PHYSICAL DEMANDS: The physical demands described here are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this job•When assistance is required it is defined as using a team lift (another person), hand truck designed to move material, forklift, overhead crane or other material handling equipment•Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, color vision, depth perception, and the ability to adjust focus
