　　Responsibilities

　　Prepare food to specifications before and during unit operations.

　　Comply with all portion sizes, quality standards and waste control measures.

　　Ensure freshness and proper food temperatures are maintained and food is stored correctly.

　　Perform opening, closing, side work and end-of-day inventory.

　　Keep workstation, coolers, and equipment clean, organized, sanitized, and sufficiently stocked.

　　Other duties as assigned.

　　Qualifications

　　At least1 year of previous experience in a back-of-the-house food service position is required.

　　Participation in a culinary program is preferred.

　　Ability to read and comprehend prep sheets and recipes.

　　Basic math skills; ability to understand, calculate and follow recipe measurements and proportions.

　　Physical Requirements

　　Ability to lift and carry a minimum of 50 pounds.

　　Will stand for length of shift with frequent bending, lifting, reaching, including overhead, stretching and grasping.

　　Must work rapidly in a fast paced environment while coordinating multiple orders.

　　Exposure to variable temperatures and kitchen dangers such as heat, burns, scalds, cuts, slips and falls and chemicals used to clean and sanitize work areas, equipment and surfaces.
