Position Summary Details
The Lead Cleaner plays a crucial role in maintaining a clean and safe environment through effective leadership and coordination of cleaning operations. By overseeing cleaning staff, ensuring quality control, and fostering a culture of safety, the Lead Cleaner contributes to the overall cleanliness and satisfaction of clients and occupants within a facility. This position will lead and participate in a team to ensure the successful completion of assigned tasks. Clearance and polygraph required.
Key Responsibilities:
Supervision and Training:
Lead, train, and supervise cleaning staff, ensuring they follow established cleaning procedures and safety protocols.
Provide guidance on proper cleaning techniques, product usage, and equipment operation.
Quality Control:
Conduct regular inspections to ensure cleanliness standards are met or exceeded.
Address deficiencies promptly, implement corrective actions, and maintain high cleaning and sanitation standards.
Scheduling and Assignments:
Plan and coordinate cleaning schedules, including daily, weekly, and periodic tasks.
Assign specific cleaning tasks to team members based on expertise and workload.
Inventory Management:
Monitor and manage cleaning supplies and equipment inventory.
Coordinate with the procurement department to ensure an adequate supply of cleaning materials.
Equipment Maintenance:
Oversee the maintenance and proper use of cleaning equipment.
Arrange for repairs or replacements as needed to ensure operational efficiency.
Communication:
Collaborate with facility managers, clients, or other relevant stakeholders to understand specific cleaning requirements and expectations.
Communicate effectively with cleaning staff and address any concerns or issues.
Safety Compliance:
Ensure compliance with safety regulations and guidelines during cleaning operations.
Conduct safety training sessions and promote a culture of safety within the cleaning team.
Reporting:
Prepare regular reports on cleaning activities, accomplishments, and challenges.
Provide feedback to management on the performance of cleaning staff.
Client Satisfaction:
Foster positive relationships with clients and address any cleaning-related concerns promptly.
Seek feedback from clients to continuously improve cleaning services.
Adherence to Policies:
Ensure that cleaning staff adhere to company policies, procedures, and ethical standards.
Implement disciplinary actions when necessary.
Qualifications:
High school diploma or equivalent; additional education or certifications in cleaning or management is a plus.
Proven experience in commercial or institutional cleaning, with a track record of leadership and supervision.
Strong knowledge of cleaning techniques, products, and equipment.
Excellent organizational and time-management skills.
Effective communication and interpersonal skills.
Ability to handle multiple priorities and work in a fast-paced environment.
Knowledge of safety regulations and procedures.
Must be 18 years of age or older.
Must meet all requirements to receive approval for working in specific ATS environments (if applicable), including ten-year work history if available.
TSSCI Clearance and polygraph required

Customer Service Experience
1 yr or more of similar work experience
