Primary Duties and Responsibilities Technicalauthority in Information Technology, Retail Investments and Compliance,Institutional Investments and Accounting, or Insurance BusinessOperations and serves as a resource for Corporate Audit staff andbusiness partners on risks and controls. Leads audits and consultationsby scanning for and assessing risks of a given area, documentingcontrols, and developing testing plans to address the risks, completinghigh risk testing, reviewing testing performed by staff, and draftingissues and reports. Will also assess risks posed by business area andassesses the frequency and depth of future audits. Works with leadershipon planning and scheduling audits on their team. Runs audits andprojects to assure that budgets and timelines are established andadhered to and monitors staff assigned to project to ensure objectivesare met. Evaluates alternatives and recommends solutions based onindustry and regulatory knowledge, addressing areas of identifiednon-compliance or where control improvements can be made whileconsidering the impact of change within the business area. Communicatesthe audit process, objectives, timing, and outcome to business partners,senior management and where appropriate to entity audit committees andboards. Participates with team leadership on department-wide initiativesas applicable. Applies industry, regulatory, and organizationalknowledge to recommend process improvements for their core area or thedepartment and works with the leadership to implement changes. Providesmentoring, training, and feedback to staff in area of expertise, audittechnical matters, and for personal development. Provides input toleadership on staff evaluations. Develops and maintains positiverelationships with the business to assure key communication needs areaddressed and expectations are managed while maintaining professionalstandards.
