Description:

　　Scope:

　　There are many projects coming down the pipeline that are going to yield a lot of design work for the ME group. They have projects such as Automated Weld Cells, Retooling lines for OEM's, Tier 1 Powertrain assembly equipment and new machines for BIW application. They have a stacked workload for 2024, and will continue to be busy into 2025.

　　DAY TO DAY:

　　80%: Design

　　2D Design work in Autocad: Relocation of machine cells, layout of automated equipment

　　Layout design: taking designs in 3d and creating from scratch 2d layouts in autocad

　　GD&T: Checking designs for feasibility

　　20%: Engineering Admin.

　　-Field Checks: Customer field checks to ensure design is realistic

　　-Design reviews

　　-Meeting with Sr. Engineers to get 3d solidworks material and translating it to 2d Autocad

　　Additional Skills & Qualifications:

　　MUST HAVE:

　　-3+ Years experience with 2D Layout Design Experience w/ AUTOCAD (Experience with automated manufacturing equipment layout)

　　-GD&T: Basic understanding of GD&T Principles

　　-Ability to travel up to 25% to do Field checks (Could be in Michigan, US, Canada or Germany)

　　-Solidworks Experience 3d

　　-Catia Design

　　-Part Detailing Experience
