This job order is being placed in connection with an application for H-2B workers for Valentin and Sons Landscape, Inc. - Philadelphia, PA, Phone: 215-248-1676, Email address: [email protected]. 3 Landscape Workers are needed for temporary, full-time employment. For a full-service landscaping company: maintain grounds for residential and commercial properties; plant seeds and plants; maintain lawns, trees, shrubs and landscape beds; shovel and carry dirt, mulch and other landscape materials; weed wack, weed beds and lay sod. No Education or prior work experience is required. Employer will offer 40 hours per week, Monday to Friday, 7:00 am - 3:00 pm (30-minute break every day). Workers are needed to begin work on April 1, 2024 through December 10, 2024.
Work will be performed in multiple worksites throughout the Philadelphia and Montgomery Counties, PA areas. Workers will be paid $18.71 per hour. The employer will use a single workweek as its standard for computing wages due. Workers will be paid on Friday (weekly) by check. The employer will make all deductions from the worker's paycheck required by law. If the worker completes 50 percent of the work contract period, the employer will arrange and pay directly for transportation and subsistence from the place of recruitment to the place fo work. Upon completion of the work contract or where the worker is dismissed earlier, the employer will provide or pay for worker's reasonable costs of return transportation and subsistence back home or to the place the worker originally departed to work, except where the worker will not return due to subsequent employment with another employer or where the employer has appropriately reported a worker's voluntary abandonment of employment. The amount of transportation payment or reimbursement will be equal to the most economical and reasonable common carrier for the distances involved. Daily subsistence will be provided at a rate of at least $15.46 per day during travel to a maximum of $59.00 per day with receipts.
Workers are responsible for daily transportation to and from the designated pick-up at the Philadelphia, PA office. Employer will then provide each work crew with daily transportation among the worksites in Philadelphia and Montgomery Counties, PA and back to Philadelphia.
Workers will be reimbursed in the first workweek for all visa, visa processing, border crossing and other related fees, including those mandated by the government (except passport fees).
Employer will provide workers at no charge all tools, supplies and equipment required to performed the job.
The employer will assist the workers to find places to reside at no cost; however, the employer does not offer housing to the workers.
