　　Summary:

　　The Senior EHS Specialist function utilizes the existing procedures and their acquired knowledge to provide EHS technical support. In this role, you will be responsible for three California-based locations through the coordination of EHS activities and programs. As a Senior EHS Specialist, you will support the implementation, execution, and maintenance of the environmental, health, and safety systems for the plants. You will work collaboratively with the Corporate EHS team, Plant Management, Production, Maintenance, and Engineering team members and focus on various projects and initiatives within these teams. This position will report directly to the Director of EHS for Residential Operations.

　　Essential Duties :

　　Specific responsibilities include, but are not limited to:

　　Guide Environmental, Health, and Safety activities at three California locations.

　　Drive and guide on-site EHS support that leads the plant’s EHS management system through

　　proactive engagement with the location EHS program champions.

　　Assist Director of EHS - Residential with the creation and execution of strategic initiatives.

　　Lead incident investigations, development of corrective actions, and communicate lessons learned.

　　Ensure the findings of accident investigations, safety inspections, audits, and risk assessments are brought to the attention of leadership and others who may be affected.

　　Ensure the plants are current on all relevant Environmental, Health, and Safety documents, including the Injury Illness Prevention Plan (IIPP).

　　Support environmental compliance efforts and monitor permit requirements.

　　Identify training programs to meet plant needs, track training progress, and onboarding plant employees with environmental responsibilities.

　　Coordinate with Plant Manager, Production, Maintenance, and Engineering Departments on facility deficiencies through site audits and inspections.

　　Conduct audits to monitor personnel and workspace improvements and develop corrective actions to close gaps.

　　Facilitates with program champions to support the location’s periodic environmental, health and safety management system self-assessments against the Corporate EHS policies.

　　Ensure that Corporate EHS management practices are embedded in the operation and these management practices are driving the appropriate behavior.

　　Assist with the new employee orientation process and ensure completion of EHS training for all employees.

　　Use data to make recommendations on changes to training programs, SOPs, JSAs, and tools to prevent accidents, and educate and protect employees.

　　Work with Human Resources and Corporate EHS on Worker's Compensation cases, ensuring they are in line with company policy.

　　Support sustainability operations assessments within the plant.

　　Support plant leadership on capital project planning to align sustainability efforts with capital and engineering projects.

　　Under This Roof, We Require :

　　Bachelor’s degree in Occupational Safety & Health, Environmental Science, Safety Engineering, Industrial Hygiene, Chemical or Environmental Engineering or a related field required.

　　Certified Safety Professional, (CSP), Associate Safety Professional (ASP), Certified Industrial Hygienist, (CIH) or Certified Environmental Professional (CEP) preferred.

　　Minimum 3+ years of work experience in workplace environmental, health, and safety program management.

　　Working knowledge of Cal-OSHA regulations, policies, programs, PPE, environmental policies (EPA), safety engineering, accident/injury investigation procedures and operating rules, etc.

　　Excellent verbal and written communication skills along with computer skills. (Google Suite)

　　Excellent organizational and time management skills, flexibility, and ability to maintain confidentiality

　　Must be a team player with excellent interpersonal skills

　　Ability to work flexible hours and business travel when needed

　　Annual Salary Range: 81,000-103,500
