We are seeking aLandscape Designer II (3-5 years of experience)to join our team in our Rocky Hill, CT office. As part of the Design Program at Weston & Sampson you will have the opportunity to work with other landscape architects across five offices located throughout the northeast and southeast regions.

　　Our ideal candidate will have strong design, graphics, computer, and technical skills as well as the ability and desire to work on complex, multidisciplinary projects. Our work focuses on the development of award-winning parks, sports + recreation facilities, K-12 and higher education campuses, multi-use trail systems, urban streetscapes with green infrastructure and more! We prefer an individual who is a self-starter and possesses a willingness to continue developing, related to collaborative and thoughtful approaches for site design, reports, plans, details, and specifications. Additionally, we seek a candidate who possesses the capacity and commitment to work alongside our experienced staff in efforts to successfully meet deadlines and deliverables.

　　What you’ll do:

　　Strengthen technical skills to become a licensed landscape architect.

　　Prepare high quality, illustrative, graphic plans, 3-D visualizations, and reports.

　　Develop design ideas from conceptual and schematic design through final design, permitting and construction documents.

　　Prepare designs, specifications, and estimates for site/landscape architecture projects

　　Create and update CAD plans, construction sets, and details at the direction of project manager

　　Create and update 3D models at the direction of project manager

　　Engage the public through community outreach initiatives.

　　Conduct job site visits to perform various tasks and oversee the projects through construction.

　　What you will bring:

　　Bachelor’s and/or Master’s Degree in Landscape Architecture is required

　　3-5 years’ experience in a related position required

　　Operating knowledge and proficiency in AutoCAD, Adobe Creative Suite, and other digital rendering software (Rhino, Lumion, SketchUp, etc.)

　　Excellent written and verbal communication skills

　　Ability to effectively manage multiple projects simultaneously

　　Must be able to travel regionally as necessary for project meetings and site visits .
