We are seeking a Civil Engineer I to be located in our Lehigh Valley office.
The ideal candidate will join our high-performing and technology-forward engineering design team. In this role, you will have the opportunity to work as part of an energetic and collaborative team of highly technical civil engineers, working primarily for Land Development with the latest CAD and automated design processes across many different market sectors in the United States.
Responsibilities:
Planning, designing, and permitting civil engineering, land development, linear utility, and infrastructure projects
Prepares detail-oriented designs and plans under close supervision using computer-aided design and civil engineering software packages or conventional methods
Performs design services related to site layout, grading, stormwater management, and erosion control in conformance with local, state, and federal regulations
Prepares design computations and quantity estimates under the direction of an experienced designer
Performs drafting and plan preparation utilizing company CADD and file management standards
Assists in the preparation and analysis of reports, maps, drawings, blueprints, tests, and aerial photographs on soil composition, terrain, hydrological characteristics, and other topographical and geologic data to plan and design project
Assists in the preparation or modification of reports, specifications, plans, construction schedules, environmental impact studies, permits, and designs for a project
Assists in the development of probable construction cost estimates for his/her projects within the department
Prepares reports, memos, meeting minutes, and other correspondence to document project conditions and decisions
Supports and communicates with the project team to execute work in a timely and efficient manner within the project budget and schedule
Qualifications:
Bachelor in civil engineering from an accredited four-year college or university
0-4 yrs. of experience providing technical support on-site/civil, land development projects
EIT required, PE a plus
Experience with stormwater management
Desired experience working with oil & gas or utility industries
Proficient with AutoCAD, Civil 3-D
Desired software experience with SiteOPS
Ability to work successfully as part of a team to complete projects
Must be able to pass a background check to be considered
