Job Description
Roles and Responsibilities
Individuals who provide advice, counsel and leadership on employee and unions/works council relations. Advises management on legal/labour law/regulatory issues and risk management.
A first point of contact for management / managers who provide leadership role on Industrial Relations’ Strategy and generate insights that influence organizational strategies on IR.
Resolving all pending Labour cases / litigations by effectively liaising with legal counsel and making necessary representation with the Labor authorities / Labour Courts for effective reconciliation of the disputes.
Responsible for Union negotiations and drawing amicable settlement on Labour Productivity increases including signing of Long-Term Wage Settlement.
Maintain Industrial Peace / Shopfloor discipline in the Business Units through pro-active HR practices.
Maintain 100% statutory compliance under various labour laws applicable to manufacturing sites / Contract workmen including the local compliance requirement.

Qualifications :
The role requires significant expertise in Indian Labour Law. Masters in Human Resource Management & Labour Laws with a minimum 3 to 5 years of industry experience in handling Industrial Relations & Labour Compliance in a Unionized environment in a mid-to large sized manufacturing Units.
Experience of working in a multicultural work environment, Employee Relations, recruitment of shopfloor employees & knowledge of benefits administration & payroll is preferred.
Desired Characteristics :
Strong oral and written communication skills in Tamil & English is preferred.
Excellent interpersonal, negotiation skills and ability to work independently.
Work with senior management and explain complex information in a straightforward way.
Strong belief in Integrity & practice is in Letter and Spirit.
